The debut album "Broken Leaves" strongly conveys the
diversity of Allensworth, exposing the eclecticism of its comprised members and
highlighting the compositional, vocal, and lyrical talent
of Jamie Allensworth " We experimented sonically and
tried not to stray far from each songs acoustic basis,
and in the process, stumbled onto different tones and
unconventional instruments that helped make the record
very well rounded. It was an all love project recorded
in Tarzana at J and A productions with close friends
who share the same fondness for timeless albums".

Allensworth is a collective septet pieced together by NAFRO front man singer-songwriter Jamie Allensworth. The dexterity of this group shows no boundaries and is known for their raw soul-funk, high intensity live shows. Their stripped down acoustic set is equally pleasing, bringing to mind such artists as Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, Wilco, and Jose Gonzales. "In an industry that has become so open to the masses, where music is so easily attained, we don't feel the need to abide by any certain criteria or genre. We play soul music, music from the soul. It was spiritual during
the recording process and most definitely spiritual through it's delivery".

OCMA Best Acoustic SHOWCASE

We got called up to rock the OCMA’s this year and we need your help as we will be judged on attendance for best acoustic performance. Now I know we are not necessarily an acoustic combo, but we do like to throw out the raw soul unplugged every now and again so it will be the full band just rockin the tunes acoustically. Come show some Love.
